Why are you still selling this crap product to unsuspecting people. Everyone has problems with the drain pump about a year in on a new washer. Mine included. You sell crap and then we have to deal with a washer that doesn't work and makes a grinding sound that needs a new part you don't have. Real nice. You should be made to replace everyone's washers or give a refund.

I am really not very happy with this washer at all. I paid $600 for a washing machine that takes forever for one load of laundry and then I have to run a drain/spin cycle because it got off balance or the load was too big and it didn't finish correctly. It is extremely sensitive to load size. If the load is too large, it will not not finish completely. I wanted a washer that would just wash my clothes. I was not looking for all the bells and whistles. My requirements were top loading, just wash my clothes, easy to use. I put in a load of towels and leave for work. I come back at the end of the day and I expect that that load will be ready to transfer to the dryer. NO!! It didn't rinse/drain/spin properly so know I have to run a drain cycle. It is extremely frustrating. This new sensing technology SUCKS! Just make washers that will fill to the load size I want. Not what the washer thinks it is. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. Unfortunately, I can't return the item so now I have to use and am stuck with a washer that I hate and have to babysit to make sure it ran through the entire cycle correctly.

Bought this as previous washer came with the house and though it was a top of the line then, it wouldn't cut it. Got this as it was the closest thing to the original style washer, no super smart wifi heavy eco 9000 snuff, just a simple top loader that got the job done. Got it with a drop off and pick up old combo via online and worked day 1. Main reason needing a good top loader is being a first time dad, I expect a lot of washing will be needed and so far, 3 months in, still works and drains great. Just need a dryer to match eventually.

The motor burned out on my VERY old washer, and when shopping for a replacement I wanted a simple American made washer that was affordable. Amana met all my criteria! So far I am very happy with my new washer. My clothes are clean, it has the basic functions I need without the extra fancy stuff I wouldn't use, and the price was much less than other brands.

Only 2 yrs old. I think the control panel went out. Continuously trying to drain. Lid locks intermittently at strange times. Cycle canceled itself before spinning. Not under warranty and if it is something that is covered, Amana has no service contractors near me.

I purchased this particular machine because one can unlock the lid; which a lock isn't necessary in the first place. I did not realize that there are only 2 water levels; auto sensing and deep water wash. I have discovered that there is no such thing as a deep water wash on this machine. It automatically starts washing as soon as machine is turned on, and even if you get lucky and it fills up, the tub only fills halfway up with water. If one thinks that one can wash a load of sheets and blankets and have the tub full to the brim, think again, the water only fills half of the tub. It took me a month to figure out the only way to use hot water on a wash is to put the setting on "whites". I never use warm so I did not bother to try and figure which setting works to get warm water. and what is the difference between; tap, cold, and cool? That to me is ridiculous, What, do you have a refridgerator in the motor somewhere to make the tap water colder? It takes me twice as long to wash my clothes now, because the machine does not fill up with water. Why is there such a large tub if it isn't going to do a large Job? I hope not all washing machines are as poorly designed and as poorly put together as this one, for I will research machines and find me something much better than this piece of crap.

Overall if you are looking for a basic washer this is a good one. My only problem is that I am on well water, so it doesn't fill fast enough to finish the wash and doesn't do a final spin. Also, if you want to actually have it fill with enough water to clean clothes do use the deep water setting for the wash and deep water setting with fabric softener (even if you don't use softener) and set for the bulky load. To solve my problem, I set the wash at deep water and the rinse at auto. It still will not do the final spin and to get the clothes a proper rinse, I simply do another wash and then a drain/spin cycle.

Two days after buying this product brand new from Walmart, it started malfunctioning and is still this day not working while I wait for repairs from the warranty that is provided. I chose to buy this new for my vacation home because I didn™€™t want to have to deal with issues from a used machine. But to my surprise, I have had more issues then I could have ever imagined. How can a brand new product have so many issues? At this point, after several repair attempts, I should be given another new one.

DOES NOT CLEAN WELL!!! SEE PHOTO

This washer LOOKED like our old washer on the outside, but it sure does not ACT like it. ™€ The water takes FOREVER TO FILL on any setting - 5-7 minutes before the cycle(s) start ™€ Once 'filled', the water level is very LOW and does not fill the tub enough to properly wash any load, despite the large tub size I was originally so excited about ™€ No agitator - I get it, but still there needs to be MORE WATER to get the clothes clean, otherwise they are just barely getting moved around while the germs are getting tossed around in dirty water. One positive feature about this - no agitator means no issues with snagging (so far anyway) ™€ Wanna change cycles mid-load? YOU CAN'T - you have to cancel the load you have in the wash, then drain it, THEN move the dial to the desired load, THEN START ALL OVER AGAIN. ™€ One has NO IDEA how long a load will take (our last washer took 40 minutes for a full cycle which made it easy to time with our schedules ™€“ but not this one, oh no ™€“ it takes anywhere from 50 minutes to well over an hour and a half. On one occasion, I paused the cycle because I needed to add another garment to the load, and was astonished and NOT HAPPY that some of the clothes were still above water while IN mid-wash cycle?? If your clothes are not getting wet, THEY ARE NOT GETTING CLEAN. SEE PHOTO - I did a standard-to-larger size load of darks, and put 2 washing sheets in the load, just like the instructions on the box say to do. I always have this washer set on the 'Deep Wash/Deep Rinse' settings - once the load went through its entire cycle, I removed the clothes and put them in the dryer (the Dryer works GREAT). Then I started the next wash load - I like to run the water about 5 minutes, and THEN put the detergent in, so that it is dispersed evenly throughout the water, THEN put our clothes in. When I went to open the lid to add the detergent, I was disgusted to see a large amount of suds in the water despite not adding ANYTHING to the wash! This proves this senseless washer is not rinsing well enough. I absolutely detest this washer and wish we never bought it. I am convinced that whoever designed these new-age washers are NOT THE PEOPLE DOING LAUNDRY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Awful washer machine just stop working, turns on by itself with all the lights off, stops in the middle of the cycle, stops and turn off by itself, doesn't spin/dry the clothes, also i need to have my washer machine unplug because multiple time i will go in the basement and the machine running (on) w/out movement or water. So many issues with this washer machine, i called the company was told that you need to pay 89.00 for a tech to come into your home to evaluated and diagnosed it , w/out counting the cost of the part. Just awful and sad that you work hard tp purchase a BRAND NEW to get a piece of crap home.

I thought I was getting an even swap when replacing the old washer. I was happily mistaken. The Bigger load size!! Yay! The option to chose water levels and temp for wash vs rinse is awesome! The agitator has also improved and doesn't tie all my clothes together like Christmas lights anymore😂. Which is nice when in a hurry. My only hiccup: always having push the start button twice before it starts. My old one was a single push every time, but I will get use to that since it does not happen if I chose a different cycle first. Which is kinda funny. Now Im wondering what fun upgrades the dryer will have?ðŸ¤". I know there is one feature I would change and no I'm not telling.

So far so good! The repair man on our other washer that gave out recommended Amana highly. He said he gets very few if any service calls on Amana larger appliances. My wife says the features are just what she wanted. The other washer stopped continually with imbalanced load no matter the size. This Amana washer saves her many steps up and down the steps.

Horrible machine! I'd give it a minus rating if I could. Not even 2 years and it doesn't drain/spin but gets stuck in a continuing drain mode where the drain pump just runs and will not stop without unplugging the whole unit - but then the mode resumes again when plugging back in! Now I'm seeing its a common problem with this machine, many, many complaints. Amana you should be ashamed selling this, knowing its an issue! Buyer Beware.

My Drain Cycle keeps running even when the machine is empty it will randomly start making a humming noise and i have to unplug it to stop it

1 Year 10 months normal usage. Wash machine now gets stuck in a constant drain mode where the drain pump just runs and will not stop without unplugging the whole unit. Apparent common problem with this wash machine. Amana doesn't want to warranty the issue even though there's a full service bulletin as to the issue with the control board. Amana can you step up and fix this unit? Otherwise your product is disposable and any buyer should take that into consideration before purchasing.

System failure

I bought the Amana Washing Machine just over a year ago and now the machine is like system failure. I called a technician to fix said it will cost $350 for its memory board to replace. How can a machine broke just a year used. Amanda has poor mechanical technology. No longer using the brand that too much headache and costly.

Complete garbage

Should be 0 stars it only ran just over a year. Bought brand new. Constantly drains. Gonna cost at least half of what was paid just to have someone come look at it and fix it. Complete rip off. After researching it™€™s a very common issue with these Amanda washers. Out over 500$ and have to buy another one to wash clothes save your time and money get something else.
