Fridgidaire replaces our 40 year old stove

Yes, our 40 year old Gen-air was still working but it was time to part. A lot of research and thought went into our choice and Induction was a priority for its efficiency. We™€™ve only had the drive for a bit over 10 days but have put this new one through its paces with holiday cooking and it did not disappoint. We had checked many consumer reportings and reviews and found this stove the best fit for us and at a great price point. Both the stove top and oven are working brilliantly. Clean up is easy and we were happy that most of our pans were already induction compatible. Just needed to replace a skillet pan which we™€™d been meaning to do anyway. I also got a grill pan to test out the bridge function for pancakes on Christmas morning and it worked way better than we thought. Overall, very happy and would recommend. One note, the buttons beep when you accidentally touch them and to shut off the oven press and hold the off. Just a learning curve, but worth it.

After 60 years of cooking, mostly with a gas range, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I am enjoying this new Induction range! Yes, it takes a little getting used to, but I™€™m getting there. The greatest feature is how fast it heats up, and then how quickly you can lower or adjust the heat. Then there™€™s the cleanup™€¦so easy and so quick! No more lifting heavy grates to reach spills, or clean the stove top. It looks beautiful in our kitchen.

Great, but noisy stove

We decided to try induction, and have been quite happy with the switch. The oven (air fry included) works great. Water boils much faster. Easy to clean. The induction cook top seems to have inconsistent heating as can been seen when we cook bacon or pancakes on an individual pan on the bridge burners. The stove is also a tad noisy - though I'm not sure if that is just the nature of an induction stove. Overall, quite happy.

I love the heat control with an induction range. Still learning what settings to use and feel that another few could be added, for instance, when simmering 1 is not hot enough to simmer but 2 goes straight to a boil. It heats quickly and water comes to a boil quite fast. Have had this almost 4 weeks and still learning what it can do.

recently installed the induction range with air fryer. We love the capabilities and the look. Would note/suggest Frigidaire note that the back of the range needs to be considered relative to where your electrical outlet is located as the "indent" in the range to accommodate is small and in a specific location. We will have to move our outlet...which was not anticipated.

Finally a safe range!

Bought this range after days of research. I hated my other range, with knobs on the front. Nearly had several fires start because of them getting accidentally turned on (one by my cat brushing past them). This one is digital and even has a stove top lock! Really loving the induction cooking, my tea kettle boils in under 3 minutes! Bakes very well with accurate temperatures. Had to buy new cookware, as only a few skillets were compatible, but since I was using cookware bought in 2003 was ready for new. The only reason for 4 stars was digital controls are a bit fiddling and the buzzer for the timer is very soft (wish it had a way to increase the volume). But otherwise it's exactly what I wanted.

I have been too busy unpacking to even cook at the new house. Anyone else know how that feels? Besides my fridge, though, the induction oven brought me the most happiness when it was installed. It is very sleek. It fits perfectly into my smaller dated kitchen and helps make the space feel like it™€™s ready to face a new era. I am very excited to try out the air fry without having to pull out another appliance and I cannot wait to use my cast-iron griddle on the bridge elements up top. Happy with range, but things I wish I could change.

Only 2 weeks using it, so I'm still learning it. I do love the induction burners and oven, but I'm a little uncertain about the control panel. Being touch, you can bump it and find things change. Know you can lock it but that adds 2 steps (unlock/lock) every time you change it. I would not recommend for homes with small children, touch controls with changing lights are just begging children to push buttons. I love the range, just wish it had dial controls for burners. So far, oven is great. Haven't really figured out steam baking yet but everything else with oven is great.

I like the quickness of the heating up. It is great. I do not like how I have no understanding of where the actually burner is and not knowing what size pot I can use. I called customer service, they had no clue. The only other issue is, between the black stove top part and a chrome pieces, there is a small crevice that fills up full of crumbs and it hard to clean, I feel as if that is a design flaw.

This is our first induction range, and we like it. Very happy with how both stove and oven work. The one annoyance is with the controls. Using a stove burner requires three steps: turn in the cooktop, turn on the burner, and choose the heat level. Also, for the oven, you can't type in the temperature; rather, you push the "up" button until you get to the number you want. I know, first world problems.

I can™€™t believe how fast this thing boils water, faster than the microwave. I love that there™€™s no way to accidentally turn the burners on. My last range (glass top, front controls) set my kitchen on fire after I reached across and somehow turned the burner on with a towel sitting on it, then walked away. Guess what I came back to? There are no little crevices on the stove top or on the control panel for food to get stuck in. It™€™s easy to use and just a great range all the way around.

This was my first induction cook top so I had a bit of a steep learning curve. Once I learned how this cook top worked with my pans, I find my meals turn out more evenly cooked that with my old electric range. The control board being on the front face does get irritating, as I tend to bump it when cooking, I'm learning to work around that though.Overall a great appliance. Even heat and no issues.

Induction Cooktop - Very Very satisfied.

In service (at Home) for 7 months now and am very very satisfied with this induction cooktop, the air fryer function, the convection oven function and the safety features ( takes 3 steps to turn on surface cooktop) and love that it shuts off when pan removed. . I did purchase separate induction mats to use with my cast iron pans, skillets etc.. to avoid scratching the beautiful surface and now use them most of the time with my stainless steel pots/pans etc.. I have not seen a significant difference while using the induction mats, and they do protect the cooktop. I would recommend. Stovetop is easy to clean. my only gripe is the very small gap along the edges, where liquid and very small food particles can fall/spill into. i also love the "bridge" function for the larger rectangular cast iron skillet and very large pans for even heating (works perfect). After having a regular electric coil range for years and years, then an electric glass cooktop (that failed after only one year) I am completely sold on the induction technology and the Frigidaire brand. So far, i am a completely satisfied customer for both brand and technology. I can now cook with completely even heating and no "off and on" element heating frustrations i used to deal with. One other concern, but this is more due to the induction mats. When using "induction" steel with surface coated pans ( i have a few of these prior to purchase of this stove), the pan does not heat up as well as with regular stainless steel pans. I have not tested without the mats, but do suspect they may perform better without them. And make sure pans have a completely flat surface for better induction. I have a large round crepe pan (not as thick as I would like) and when first used, it warped so it is not completely flat on cooktop surface (teeters from center - sides warped u) and i can hear the induction sounds of trying to magnetize due to the pan not completely mated with the surface. Be aware of this on cheaper pans.

So far so good. I Love the induction. Cooked on three different electric glass tops in the past few years and this is a huge improvement! Took a minute to figure out to hold the selection not just touch. So easy and fast to cook on. The P power feature is awesome for espresso. I love the bridge. I Got a griddle to use on the bridge which is perfect . I haven't used the convection much but did use the air fry and it is fine. Not as fast as a smaller counter top but got the job done. The steam clean did nothing. Wonderful and highly recommend

This is my second Frigidaire stove, the first one having served us well for over 15 years. This model has some great features and very good quality. Love the induction cooktop, just be aware it does cook differently than a conventional cooktop. The convection oven really enables more even cooking. Cons: Wish it had a numerical keypad, you have to adjust the temp and timer using up and down arrows and the button is a little finicky. I don't understand why they stopped making a true slide in / drop in model. You will probably need edge and rear trims to make it look finished. Overall highly recommended.

While I haven™€™t tried the air fryer feature yet, the induction cooktop alone makes this range worth it. It heats quickly, adjusts instantly, and provides a level of control that™€™s hard to beat. Cooking is more efficient, and cleanup is noticeably easier since the surface stays cooler.The oven performs well too, with consistent temperatures and even baking. I am new to induction™€¦operating the range was a learning curve as my previous stove was purchased in 1994. So far everything I have cooked on the burners and in oven have come out perfect™€¦I used the air fryer to make wings and I liked how they came out but not when I opened the oven door and a bunch of smoke came out..did not see any in oven™€¦caused alarm to go off™€¦maybe I did something wrong will further investigate this as to why. Still learning how to use the Air Fry

This induction range replaced an old electric burner range that had inconsistent heating and took a while to heat up and cool down. The induction is much faster to heat and cools quickly to prevent burning food. I use my cast iron utensils with uniform heating, and flat bacon. I no longer have to worry about hot spot in electric burner. And the range top is far easier to keep clean than the burner "holes" which always allowed grease under the range. I wish I had done this years ago. I have only done one Air Fry and it turned out OK but I have never had air fry before.

Front control panels aren't great for short people

I think most new stoves come with the controls on the front instead of the back, so this complaint probably isn't specific to this stove. I'm 5 feet tall and I can't help but slightly lean or brush against the front of this stove when I cook, which often turns off the burners. There is a lock function for the oven, but I wish there was a lock function for "I have set the burners the way I want them, ignore any input until I unlock again."

Easy to learn to use

I found the use directions easy to understand. It was not hard to learn to use the stove and to discover the cooking levels. I am enjoying trying out the different oven functions.

Excellent induction stove!!

I had a highly rated Induction cooktop from IKEA and replaced it with this one. This Frigidaire is much better. It has higher efficiency, doesn™€™t turn off if water spills and can detect which stove has an induction pot on it. The bridge feature is a good idea too. The air fryer works great too. Home run by Frigidaire!

A fun think to have in my kitchen

I've had my new Induction range for about two months. I had an induction countertop burner before that so I was already familiar with the workings of induction cooking. I'm a big fan of this new range. It is super quick to heat up and cool down. And you can join two "burners" to form 1 larger "burner". There is a 3 step process to turn on the stovetop, so it won't happen by accident. If you're in a hurry to boil water, it can do so REALLY fast. And the oven works like your old gas oven. I haven't used the air fryer yet. Overall, I'm very happy with my new range. I'd suggest a "Silplat" cover or similar to help protect the countertop.

Read the manual

Stove is a bit complicated to operate reading the manual is a must. Also, I didn't expect to have to replace all of my stainless steel cookware.

We were looking to replace our existing oven and were initially looking to go with a gas unit. Our home is not plumbed for gas so the upfront costs were going to be substantial. I started looking more into induction and found this particular model on sale. 3 weeks in and I am glad we did. Boiling any amount of water is unbelievably fast - the cooktop speed is insanely quick. The oven functions as expected - We have not utilized the air-fry feature as we typically use our smaller countertop airfryer. There is a small learning curve with induction - watch a couple of videos and you will understand it very quickly. Highly recommend.

Relearning how to cook

My first time using an induction cooktop so I will be relearning how to cook! At 67, I guess I'm not too old. I love to cook and everything I've read about induction tells me it's worth the effort. I do wish the controls were on the back because every time I lean against the panel (several times a day!) the thing beeps at me, even when it's locked. The placement of controls was the one thing that made me hesitate about this.

Good range, questionable controls placement

I have been using this range for about two weeks now. I'd say that it's easy to use and the induction works well, boiling water in a just a few minutes. I like the ability to turn off the stovetop burners with a single button push, which is unlike my last range where you had to hold the 'Minus' button until the power went to zero.Two things I am not liking, though - the first is the placement of the controls. Sometimes when I am cooking, my stomach or clothes will touch the controls and usually turn off the burner. You need to be very careful when cooking, especially if you are not tall like me, because you'll quite often turn the burners off or the entire cooktop while bending over to to get a better look at what you are cooking on the rear burners.The second thing is the very slightly depressed cooktop. There is a tiny lip that encircles the entire cooktop that is about 1/8" high. I suppose this lip will help if something boils over while cooking and help prevent the spillage from dripping over the edge of the stove. However, it makes cleaning a bit annoying, as particles can get stuck on the edge of the lip.All in all, I am satisfied with this range so far.
